Previously, from 2017 to early 2025, colleges and vocational schools were under the state management of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (now the Ministry of Home Affairs).
Shorten your study time by enrolling early.
On August 7-8, Dr. Hoang Van Phuc, Principal of Saigon Polytechnic College (Hanh Thong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), stated that according to statistics, approximately 4,000 candidates registered their preferences for admission to the school through the Ministry of Education and Training's system.

New students enroll early at Saigon Polytechnic College.
"Although this is only preliminary data, after the virtual filtering process on the system, the number of admitted candidates will certainly decrease, but this is a positive sign showing that candidates are interested in college," Dr. Phuc expressed.
A new feature this academic year is that colleges can register for admissions through both the Ministry of Education and Training's common system and the school's own admissions system.
During this period, if candidates wish to increase their chances of admission, they can submit their applications directly to the college. However, this method of application is not available if they choose to study at the university level.
"The school has had two enrollment periods for the regular college program in August. Students enroll early, the training time is short, tuition fees are subsidized by 70% as per regulations, and 70% of the study time is practical... Importantly, there is a full possibility of transferring to a university. With smart planning, within 4 years, students can earn both a college degree and a university degree," Dr. Phuc stated.
Difficult to recruit students, but easy to find jobs.
Similarly, Dai Viet Saigon College (Tan Son Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) has also organized two early enrollment periods and is preparing to start the third period in August.
Dr. Le Lam, the school's principal, revealed that nearly 600 students registered for admission through the general system. In addition, data from direct registration channels at the school also reached approximately 700-800 applications.

Compared to previous years, the enrollment situation seems "slow," with most candidates still waiting for their university admission results. On the other hand, the fact that universities have lowered their minimum admission scores too much has led to a significant decrease in the number of candidates applying to colleges.
Dr. Lam stated that the school's strengths include general medicine, early childhood education , and automotive technology... These are all fields with high demand for human resources, ensuring good job opportunities for students immediately after graduation.
"Many college graduates find jobs immediately, and some even find employment during their internships. The training program's emphasis on practical skills is a major advantage that attracts businesses and employers. This is also a significant benefit of vocational education," Dr. Lam pointed out.
According to statistics, there are 7,615,560 applications nationwide, with each candidate registering an average of about 9 applications.
From August 17th to 20th, the Ministry of Education and Training's system will conduct multiple rounds of virtual filtering to ensure that candidates can only be admitted to one of their preferred programs. Before 5 PM on August 20th, universities will enter the cutoff scores and announce the results of the first admission round.
