Be Group speaks out about the driver being assaulted by a man and a woman in Ho Chi Minh City

Regarding the incident of a Be driver being assaulted on the street on the night of January 1, 2025, a representative of Be Group said that they had contacted the driver during the night. On the morning of January 2, 2025, Be is coordinating with the driver and the police of District 1 and Ben Nghe ward to clarify the nature and consequences of the incident.

Be Group representative also said that they will support all costs as well as legal human resources for drivers to sue and claim benefits for injuries and health violations. At the same time, Be strongly condemns the blatant assault, intentional oppression causing health violations to people on the road, causing outrage in society and disrupting traffic safety.

Be is closely monitoring the incident and is working closely with the authorities and the driver in the coming days. At the same time, Be is committed to supporting the driver’s medical expenses and continuing to support the driver to ensure a stable income after recovering and returning to work.

Previously, a 2-minute clip was circulated on social media, recording a man and a woman beating a ride-hailing driver on Le Duan Street (Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).

The incident happened at 11:30 p.m. on December 31, 2024, before New Year's Eve. In the clip, the woman punched and kicked the victim in the head. Immediately after, a man ran up and kicked the tech driver in the head. A woman who tried to stop him was also assaulted by this man.

Immediately after the clip was shared on social networks, Ben Thanh Traffic Police and Ben Nghe Ward Police are investigating and extracting camera footage to handle the incident.

A couple brutally assaulted a technology driver and beat up the person who tried to stop them in the middle of the street.
