Power cut off due to debt, when paying again have to pay fee from 98 thousand to more than 576 thousand VND/time

(DN) - Dong Nai Electricity Company said that from October 1, 2025, the company will charge a fee when restoring power to customers whose power supply has been cut off due to unpaid electricity bills.

Accordingly, organizations and individuals whose electricity is cut off must pay a fee to the electricity seller to have their electricity supply restored. The fee for customers using electricity for domestic purposes ranges from 98,000 VND to 231,000 VND per power cut; for customers using electricity for non-domestic purposes, the fee ranges from 98,000 VND to more than 576,000 VND per power cut, this fee does not include value added tax.

According to Dong Nai Electricity Company, currently, electricity bill notifications, electricity bill reminders and notices of temporary power supply interruption due to electricity debt have been made via EVNSPC customer service application (app) messages, Zalo, SMS and email. The deadline for electricity bill payment is 7 days from the date of receiving the first electricity bill notification. After 2 times of electricity bill payment notification, the electricity company will notify the temporary power supply interruption and the power suspension will be 24 hours after the notification.
