Provincial Party Secretary Vu Hong Van attended and congratulated the opening ceremony at Dong Nai University.

(DN) - On the morning of September 5, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Nai Province Vu Hong Van attended the opening ceremony of the new school year 2025-2026 with teachers and students of Dong Nai University.

Also attending were Ms. Truong Thi Kim Hue, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dong Nai province; leaders of various departments and agencies; leaders of Tam Hiep ward; all faculty, staff, and 400 students representing over 5,000 students of Dong Nai University.

At the ceremony, Vu Hong Van, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Nai province, presented a congratulatory flower basket to the school on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the education sector and the opening of the new school year.

On this occasion, the Dong Nai Education Promotion Fund awarded 100 scholarships (worth 100 million VND) to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have strived to excel and achieved excellent academic results. Of these, 30 scholarships were awarded at the opening ceremony. Provincial Party Secretary Vu Hong Van and Director of the Department of Education and Training Truong Thi Kim Hue presented these scholarships to the 30 students.

The 2025-2026 academic year takes place against the backdrop of the entire national education sector actively undergoing fundamental and comprehensive reforms, linked to digital transformation and sustainable development. Today's opening ceremony coincides with the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the National Ministry of Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training), a significant historical milestone, reminding us of the nation's tradition of valuing education, the noble mission of teachers, and the responsibility of today's young generation towards the country's future.

The opening ceremony of Dong Nai University was held in a solemn and concise manner. Immediately following the university's own opening ceremony, all staff, lecturers, and students of Dong Nai University attended the online opening ceremony organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
