After Tran Thi Thanh Thuy left the Indonesian volleyball club to return to play for VTV Binh Dien Long An , Bich Thuy is the only Vietnamese volleyball player competing abroad. Bich Thuy's appeal is growing so much that recently a reputable media unit in Vietnam bought the broadcasting rights for the Korean volleyball tournament, helping fans watch live the matches with her participation. With her impressive performance in Korea, Bich Thuy is likely to be called back by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet to the Vietnamese women's volleyball team to prepare for two major international tournaments this year: the World Championship (August) and the 33rd SEA Games (December), both taking place in Thailand.
