The Ministry of Public Security has determined that the leak of the 2023 high school graduation exam questions originated from Cao Bang and Yen Bai provinces.

On June 28, a source from the Ministry of Public Security 's professional unit informed about the leak of information about Literature and Math subjects.

Regarding the Literature subject, the authorities determined that a candidate at the Cao Bang Provincial Examination Council used his phone to take a photo at around 7:50 a.m., then sent the exam to a relative to ask for help solving the problem.

A while later, the image of the Literature exam paper was spread on social media. On the afternoon of June 28, the authorities identified this candidate.

Regarding the Math exam, the authorities determined that the candidate involved was from the Yen Bai Provincial Examination Council. This candidate was suspected of using a phone to take pictures of the exam and send them out.

Authorities are continuing to investigate and clarify the incident.
