Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Le Cong Thanh speaks at the Decision awarding ceremony

Speaking at the Decision awarding ceremony, on behalf of the Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh congratulated the Institute of Hydrometeorology and Climate Change and comrade Le Ngoc Cau for successfully completing the tasks assigned by the Ministry, in which comrade Le Ngoc Cau personally had achievements that were highly appreciated.

The Deputy Minister said that the environmental field is currently being developed and given special attention. Following the trend of the times, environmental issues are becoming increasingly important and closely linked to the fields of hydrometeorology and climate change. However, in recent years, air pollution, surface and underground water and sea pollution are becoming alarming. The Institute has also researched many projects on climate change and greenhouse gas emissions to be able to apply them to life and society, but to promote practical effectiveness is still a difficult problem.

Comrade Ngoc Cau's starting point is from the Environment sector, so the Deputy Minister hopes that he and the staff and scientists of the Institute will continue to research, have topics that more closely connect the research results on hydrometeorology, oceanography and environment, promote their own specialties; build medium-term and long-term plans from 2030 - 2045 on environmental issues, air, water, sea and islands...

The Deputy Minister also hopes that the hands and minds of the Institute of Hydrometeorology and Climate Change will be a springboard for scientific research, contributing to solving the current "hot" environmental issues that society is facing. For long-term research projects, it is necessary to redefine that research must be close to and closely linked to reality. It is necessary to clearly recognize the problems that have arisen and will arise in order to produce outstanding results in a short time; focus resources to meet the essential needs of society.

The Deputy Minister hopes that, in this position, comrade Le Ngoc Cau and the leadership team, officers and scientists of the Institute of Hydrometeorology and Climate Change will continue to strive, promote the tradition of solidarity and attachment, carry out scientific and technological tasks and services to meet the practical needs of society, achieve new achievements, support the development of the industry and the State, and better serve the people.
