The indoor handball event at the 33rd SEA Games will take place from December 8 to 17 in Chonburi (Thailand). The men's handball event will see the participating teams including Thailand (host), Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia.
The teams compete in a round robin to score points, selecting the top 4 teams to enter the cross-finals: 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3.
In the match against the Philippines, the Vietnamese handball team entered the match confidently and won 13-11 against their opponent after the first half.

In the second half, the opponent pushed up their formation and created a lot of pressure for the Vietnamese handball team, especially in the last minutes of the second half.
However, with the excellence of goalkeeper Chi Linh and his teammates, the Vietnamese handball team still won the final victory with a score of 27-25 against their opponents.
After the match against the Philippines, the Vietnamese men's handball team will have a match against Singapore on December 10.
