The indoor handball event at the 33rd SEA Games will take place from December 8 to 17 in Chonburi (Thailand). The men's handball event will see the participating teams including Thailand (host), Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia.

The teams compete in a round robin to score points, selecting the top 4 teams to enter the cross-finals: 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3.
In the match against the Philippines, the Vietnamese handball team entered the match confidently and won 13-11 against their opponent after the first half.

After the match against the Philippines, the Vietnamese men's handball team will have a match against Singapore on December 10.
