(HNMO) - On the morning of June 7th, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a conference to inform about current events in the second quarter of 2023 and to hear a presentation on the work "Resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State to be increasingly clean and strong" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Reporting at the conference, Ms. Pham Phuong Thao, former Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and former Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, stated: The work comprises articles, speeches, and talks by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in recent years, in which the consistent and overarching ideology of our Party leader is the spirit of decisive leadership with unwavering determination to fight against corruption and negative phenomena, contributing to building a clean, strong, and comprehensive Party and political system.
The work comprises 600 pages with 111 photographs, structured into three parts. Part one is "Some lessons learned from the practical fight against corruption and negative practices in Vietnam"; part two is "Consistent approach: Preventing corruption and negative practices early, from afar, from both the root and the branches"; and part three is "Unity from top to bottom, seamless coordination from top to bottom".
The content of the work clearly states that the goal of the fight against corruption and negative practices is to contribute to purifying the Party and the State apparatus, and to develop the country. This is a struggle against "internal enemies." By studying and understanding the content of the work, delegates will gain a correct understanding of the goal of the fight against corruption and negative practices, thereby maintaining and strengthening their firm belief in the leadership of the Party and the management and administration of the State and local authorities.
Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Ngo Thanh Son, stated that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's work is a document of profound value both theoretically and practically, serving as a "handbook" for the fight against corruption and negative phenomena.
This work helps Front Committee officials at all levels to better understand the Party and State's goals on preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena; fighting against self-evolution and self-transformation; thereby, actively participating with the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city in contributing ideas to build a cleaner and stronger Party and government.
“In the coming time, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will continue to introduce and discuss the content of the work in thematic meetings, and at the same time disseminate it to Fatherland Front officials at all levels, union members, association members and the people to strongly spread the value of the work…,” Mr. Ngo Thanh Son said.
