According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the total number of visitors during the qualifying rounds of the DIFF 2025 fireworks festival (from May 31st to June 30th) reached approximately 1.17 million, an increase of 10.3% compared to the same period last year.
Notably, the five nights of the qualifying fireworks display alone attracted nearly 400,000 visitors, equaling the total number of visitors for the entire DIFF 2024 season. This is seen as a clear indication of the festival's growing appeal to both domestic and international tourists.
It is predicted that the final night on July 12th will create another "craze" with a 15% - 20% increase in audience numbers compared to previous nights.
The final night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival will take place on the evening of July 12th.
According to reports, nearly a week before the final night of the competition, 4-5 star hotels in the city center and along the coastal route of Da Nang, which offer beautiful views for watching the fireworks, were fully booked. Many travel agencies predicted that the occupancy rate for the entire city during this period could reach 90%-95%, with high-end hotels potentially reaching 100%.
The "fully booked" situation wasn't limited to hotels in prime locations. Even mid-range accommodations recorded record-high occupancy rates, ranging from 80% to 85% throughout June.
According to the report, total revenue from accommodation, food and beverage services and travel in Da Nang in June was estimated at approximately 3,869 billion VND, an increase of 22% compared to the same period in 2024.
From the beginning of April, when the DIFF 2025 organizing committee opened ticket sales for the final night, many spectators rushed to buy tickets early. After a few weeks, the remaining tickets were only distributed through a few authorized agents, and currently, most ticket categories have sold out.
This year's DIFF final is considered more special than previous years because, for the first time in 13 years of organization, the Vietnamese team Z121 Vina Pyrotech is participating in the championship match.
They will face the Chinese team Jiangxi Yanfeng, the reigning runner-up of DIFF 2024, known for their high-level, emotionally charged performances.
More than just a visual feast with spectacular fireworks displays, the DIFF 2025 final night also promises an electrifying music festival featuring top artists such as My Tam, Tung Duong, Huong Tram… along with hundreds of professional dancers.
