On the evening of September 2, Hanoi organized fireworks displays at 5 locations including: Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake and My Dinh Stadium. The performance lasted for 15 minutes with about 600 high-altitude fireworks and 90 low-altitude fireworks at each location.

According to a survey by Tuoi Tre Online , as soon as the fireworks schedule was announced, people and tourists booked tables and good locations a month in advance to wait to watch the fireworks. 5-star hotels with beautiful views and outdoor skybars were all fully booked to watch the fireworks. Customers were willing to spend millions to reserve seats in advance.
At the Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel, guests started booking tables from the beginning of August, especially after the parade rehearsal on August 30, the number of reservations exploded. More than 100 seats were booked.
"The hotel has a view of the entire West Lake from the Summit bar on the 20th floor, which is also the location to watch the spectacular performance of the Vietnam People's Air Force. For guests who book a table in advance, the lowest cost is 1.3 million VND, for guests who do not book in advance, the hotel requires a minimum spending of 580,000 VND", Ms. Nguyen Thanh Thuy - marketing and communications manager of Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel - informed.
Similarly, at the My Dinh Stadium fireworks display, the skybar at the Sheraton Hanoi West Hotel was also fully booked early. This is one of the best viewing spots to observe the fireworks display in this area.

Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Ms. Bui Ha Linh, marketing & communications director of Sheraton Hanoi West, said that the hotel's skybar can accommodate up to 60 guests to ensure service quality.
All of these spots are reserved 5 days before the fireworks night. The reservation fee is about 900,000 VND/person, including a drink, snack and fruit.
In addition to 5-star hotels, many cafes with beautiful views also accept reservations. Mr. Nguyen Thai Duy, owner of a cafe at Van Quan Lake, shared that the shop has two beautiful areas to watch fireworks on the 4th floor and the rooftop of the shop with a cost of about 300,000 - 400,000 VND/person.
The above ticket price includes any drink, snack, 3 drink vouchers totaling 150,000 VND for next visit.
At West Lake, cafes do not offer reservations, but visitors can choose to come early to get the best spot.
Free fireworks viewing locations
In addition to the separate skybar areas, people have many completely free options to watch the fireworks. At Hoan Kiem Lake, locations around the lake shore can observe the entire National Day fireworks display.
At West Lake, visitors can freely choose to stand on the streets where they can observe the position of the two dragons such as Trich Sai, Nguyen Dinh Thi, Thanh Nien, Tu Hoa, Nhat Chieu, Vo Chi Cong, Nguyen Hoang Ton, and Lac Long Quan streets.
At Van Quan Lake, all high-rise apartments around the lake and lakeside locations can fully admire the fireworks display.
At the F1 racetrack, My Dinh Stadium, this area has a large space, clear view, the roads around this area are all convenient locations to observe fireworks.
