In a warm and friendly atmosphere, chatting with officials and people at the headquarters of Tang Thanh commune, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue expressed his joy at having the opportunity to visit Yen Thanh district again and meet the people of Tang Thanh commune in the early days of the new year 2024.

Regarding this visit to Yen Thanh, the Chairman of the National Assembly stated that he was very pleased that Yen Thanh had completed the task of building new rural areas in 2019 and continues to be a leading locality in building new rural areas, with many units striving to build advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas. In particular, Tang Thanh is one of the first communes in Nghe An to be recognized as meeting the standards of a model new rural area.

The Chairman of the National Assembly highly appreciated the socio-economic development results of Yen Thanh district, especially agriculture, which has developed in the direction of increasing scale, cooperation, and high productivity and quality.
The district also has many innovative wealth-building models that are increasingly gaining recognition nationwide and even internationally, most notably the creation of "towns within villages," with billionaire villages like in Do Thanh commune, using a "two-pronged approach": some go to university, and others go abroad for work.

As Tet (Lunar New Year) approaches, recalling the traditions of "loving others as you love yourself," "helping those in need," and "those with less helping those with even less," National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue stated that from the central government to local authorities, the Party Central Committee's directive is being implemented to create the best possible conditions for all citizens to enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate Tet.

The Chairman of the National Assembly highly appreciated the attention given by Nghe An province to caring for its people, especially poor households, ensuring they have the means to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) as the entire province actively responded to the call from the Provincial Party Secretary to support and assist poor households in celebrating Tet; including the Party Committee, government, and people of Yen Thanh district with a spirit of solidarity and mutual affection.

With the efforts and endeavors of the whole country, both at the central and local levels; the responsible care of Party committees, governments, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and mass organizations; and the joint efforts of philanthropists, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue believes that the whole country in general, as well as Yen Thanh district and Tang Thanh commune in particular, will welcome the new year 2024, the new spring, and the traditional Tet holiday in a warm, joyful, and economical manner, creating a new momentum to strive to best complete the economic and social targets of 2024 - a particularly important pivotal year to best complete the 5-year task (2021-2025) and prepare to enter a new phase, a new term, towards the goal of 2030, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, when Vietnam will be a developing country with modern industry and high middle income. By 2045, marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vietnam will have become a developed, high-income country.

Regarding Nghe An province specifically, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue stated that the Politburo and the Central Committee pay special attention to it. Following the review of 10 years of implementing Resolution 26, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW on July 18, 2023, on building and developing Nghe An province until 2030, with a vision to 2045; to create momentum for the province to break through and rise up, worthy of being the homeland of our beloved President Ho Chi Minh!

In this regard, the Politburo assigned the Party Caucus of the National Assembly to coordinate with the Government to summarize and evaluate Resolution No. 36 of the National Assembly on piloting some specific mechanisms and policies for Nghe An province and to research and issue a new Resolution in 2024 with stronger and more groundbreaking policies and institutions to develop Nghe An and Vinh city into a true center of the North Central region.

Highly appreciating the many policies, efforts, and achievements of the Party Committee, government, and people of Yen Thanh district in recent years, especially in 2023, as well as the exceptionally outstanding achievements of Tang Thanh commune, the Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that the locality continue to strive to build a new rural area, because this is a program that has a starting point but no end point.

Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized the motto: Having achieved the goal of new rural development, one must strive to achieve advanced new rural development; having achieved advanced new rural development, one must strive to achieve model new rural development. Communes or districts that have achieved model new rural development must increasingly consolidate and improve the quality of related criteria to achieve the goals and aspirations of the Party and State of Vietnam: building "modern rural areas, ecological agriculture, and civilized farmers," transforming villages into livable places, and creating more prosperous and affluent villages in Yen Thanh.

Wishing Yen Thanh district everlasting peace and success, and wishing Tang Thanh commune even greater success, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue also wished the officials, soldiers, and people of Yen Thanh district a warm and joyful New Year 2024 and a happy Lunar New Year, and continued achievements.
