Video shows group of teenagers brazenly setting off homemade firecrackers in a residential area.

Authorities are investigating a group of teenagers who set off homemade firecrackers in the middle of a residential area in Da Nang, causing panic among residents.

On December 18th, the residents' group 83 (Hoa Khanh Bac ward, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city) announced that they are coordinating with the ward police to review security camera footage and investigate a group of teenagers who brazenly set off homemade firecrackers in the middle of a residential area, causing panic among residents.

Earlier, at approximately 3:54 PM on December 17th, residents of the Hoa Khanh apartment complex (Hoa Khanh Bac ward) heard two loud explosions coming from the side of the building. Residents reported the incident to the building management.

Security personnel at the apartment complex checked the security cameras and discovered that at the time, a group of five teenagers were playing in the football field next to building B1. One of them then brought homemade firecrackers into a house under construction next to the football field and set them off. Not stopping there, another teenager also set off firecrackers right in the football field area.

Shortly after, the firework exploded with a loud bang and sparks. After causing the incident, the group left. Following the explosion, the scene smelled of gunpowder.
