Nguyen Hung is a "brand new" name, but he and the song "What's more beautiful" left a deep impression in the hearts of the audience, no less than any national hit.

"What's more beautiful" - a song inspired by "Red Rain" performed by Nguyen Hung is currently one of the phenomenal songs of Vietnamese music. The song's popularity partly comes from the natural effect of the movie "Red Rain" (directed by Dang Thai Huyen, which took over cinemas on the occasion of the 2-9 holiday), but thanks to its simple melody, the song touches the audience's emotions.

Before taking on the role of Hai in "Red Rain", Nguyen Hung was known as a singer in the band MAYDAYs, the owner of the song "Miracle" and a prominent face in the short film "Wooden Fish" - the work that won the Best Short Film award at the 2024 Kite Awards.

Commenting on the song "What's more beautiful" by Nguyen Hung, director Dang Thai Huyen said she was moved when she heard the work. She remembered the first melodies of this song when Nguyen Hung was in the stage of "breaking" the script, practicing with his co-stars. "In my head, a very clear image appeared: One day, Hung and Squad 1 will put their arms around each other, singing that song together on stage introducing "Red Rain". And that wish has come true. I don't know what the road ahead of "Red Rain" will be like, how much the audience will love it. But for me, this is a film with a great "destiny" with music " - Dang Thai Huyen expressed.

In the art program "80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness journey" taking place on the evening of September 1 at My Dinh Stadium ( Hanoi ), besides a series of stars with explosive performances, the performance of singers Pham Thu Ha, Nguyen Hung and 20,000 audiences with the songs "Mother loves child", "What is more beautiful" caused strong emotions. The lyric video on YouTube released 2 weeks ago reached 2.3 million views. In just a short time, the song rose to Top 1 of the Daily Viral Songs chart on Spotify, and TikTok was flooded with videos using this melody as background music. Notably, the sign language version of the song created by the young community went viral before the movie was even released.

On TikTok, when the melody "What's more beautiful" was mashup (combined) with "Mother loves child" version "Anh trai qua ngan cong gai", hundreds of videos incorporating images of soldiers and mothers created an emotional fever. "If "Mother loves child" is the voice of a heroic mother, then "What's more beautiful" is the response of children who have dedicated their youth to the country" - a comment received thousands of likes wrote.

As an actor in the movie "Red Rain", Nguyen Hung shared that the process of participating in "Red Rain" left him with many emotions: "With the character Hai having to witness the loss of his comrades, Hai himself also sacrificed for peace, that urged me to learn more about the heroic history of the nation".
