The wife of the CEO of Vietcap will sell some of her VCI shares.

Ms. Truong Nguyen Thien Kim has just notified the Securities Commission of her registration to sell 13.2 million VCI shares of Vietcap Securities Joint Stock Company.

Ms. Kim currently holds over 22.8 million shares, equivalent to 5.17% of the capital. If the transaction is successful, Ms. Kim will reduce her shareholding in VCI to over 9.63 million shares, or 2.18% of the capital.

Regarding the sale of a large quantity of VCI shares, Ms. Kim stated the reason was "personal needs." The transaction method will be through order matching or agreement. The expected trading period is from September 4th to October 3rd.

According to the corporate governance report, Ms. Truong Nguyen Thien Kim is the wife of Mr. To Hai, a member of the Board of Directors and General Director of VCI.

Mr. To Hai currently owns over 99.14 million VCI shares, equivalent to 22.44% of the securities company's capital.

At the close of trading on August 27, each VCI share was priced at 48,100 VND, a sharp increase from the 40,400 VND price range at the beginning of August. At this market price, it is estimated that Ms. Kim could earn approximately 635 billion VND.

Reportedly, Ms. Truong Nguyen Thien Kim was born in 1976 and has held many leadership positions in various businesses, including member of the Board of Directors of Ben Thanh Trading and Service Joint Stock Company, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Phe La Joint Stock Company, and member of the Board of Directors and General Director of Katinat Cafe Joint Stock Company…

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Quang Bao, Deputy General Director of VCI, also registered to sell 2.8 million VCI shares from July 30 to August 28 to meet personal needs. It is expected that Mr. Bao will reduce his ownership stake in Vietcap from 0.72% to 0.089%.

Vietcap is a securities company ranked among the top 10 largest brokerage firms in terms of market share on the HoSE (Hanoi Stock Exchange). The chairman of Vietcap is Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, who holds 3.97% of the capital in Vietcap.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Linh, son of Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of SSI Securities - has also reported selling all of his more than 47.11 million shares, equivalent to more than 3.1% of the capital in his father's company.

Specifically, the report states that Mr. Linh sold his shares between August 19 and August 23 through negotiated transactions. Mr. Linh no longer holds any shares in SSI.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung owns more than 11.67 million SSI shares, equivalent to 0.77% of the company's charter capital.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Duy Khanh - Mr. Linh's brother - still holds nearly 3.5 million SSI shares.

Around the same time that Mr. Linh sold his shares, NDH Investment Company Limited (NDH Invest) purchased 32 million SSI shares through a negotiated transaction.

Following this transaction, NDH Invest increased its shareholding in SSI from 94.23 million to 126 million shares (equivalent to 8.35% of the capital). The report states that Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung is the chairman of NDH Invest, while Mr. Nguyen Duy Khanh is the general director of the company.

Regarding business performance, in the first six months of this year, SSI's after-tax profit exceeded 1,612 billion VND, an increase of nearly 60% compared to the same period last year.
