(NLDO) - The Food Safety Department ( Ministry of Health ) announced the results of testing the Kera vegetable candy tablets related to Hang Du Muc and Quang Linh Vlogs.
On March 20th, sources from the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health ) stated that, according to test results, the manufacturer's announcement regarding the content of ingredients in Kera vegetable candy tablets is basically consistent with the test results.
These results were obtained by the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Testing (Ministry of Health).

However, according to a representative from the Food Safety Department, the claim that one candy is equivalent to a plate of vegetables is due to the advertisers on social media exaggerating the effectiveness of the vegetable candy product.
According to regulations, health supplements and foods for special dietary purposes – two types of functional foods – require registration of advertising content with the relevant authorities.
Before being advertised, health supplement products must register and obtain advertising approval from the relevant authorities and may only be advertised according to the approved content.
For dietary supplements, management is decentralized to the local level, and manufacturers are responsible for self-declaring and ensuring compliance with the Advertising Law and the Food Safety Law.
Previously, the Dak Lak Department of Health conducted a comprehensive inspection of this facility and sent product samples to the National Institute of Food Safety and Hygiene Testing for quality assessment.
Kera vegetable candy is a product introduced by Asia Life Joint Stock Company (Dak Lak) manufactured under order from CER Group Joint Stock Company, headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, founded by Hang Du Muc, Quang Linh Vlogs, and several other members.
Miss Thuy Tien and her "Sisterhood" team, including TikTokers Hang Du Muc and Quang Linh Vlogs, have been continuously livestreaming to sell Kera vegetable candy on social media platforms and have been accused of excessive advertising. Photo: Kera
The manufacturer supplied approximately 40,000-50,000 boxes of vegetable-flavored candy to Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company. This type of candy was continuously sold via livestream on social media platforms by beauty queen Thuy Tien and her "Chi Em Rot" team, including TikToker Hang Du Muc and Quang Linh Vlogs.
The product was accused of exaggerated advertising claims, stating that "one candy is equivalent to a plate of vegetables." On March 6th, following the controversy surrounding the incident, the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) stated that Kera vegetable candy "shows signs of violating regulations on food advertising, causing public outrage."
This was directed by the Ministry of Health, and the two health departments conducted inspections of the two related businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and Dak Lak: CER Group Joint Stock Company and Asia Life Joint Stock Company - the manufacturer of Kera vegetable candy.
Miss Thuy Tien, Quang Linh Vlogs, and Hang "Du Muc" have apologized after the controversy surrounding their exaggerated advertisement for Kera vegetable candy.
Meanwhile, at an "informal press conference" on March 14th, the team that had advertised "one candy is equivalent to a plate of vegetables" stated that the advertisement was based on a formula produced by Asia Life Joint Stock Company and apologized for the misunderstanding. CER Group committed to and provided guidance on the refund procedure for customers who had purchased the vegetable candy product.
