Chairwoman of Duong Noi Ward Trade Union Dao Thi Thu said that currently, the ward has 38 grassroots trade unions with 3,883 union members. The ideology of the workers, civil servants and laborers of Duong Noi Ward is generally stable, always maintaining the nature of the working class; believing in the leadership of the Party, the renovation process and the development of the country.

Entering the new term, the Ward Union will perform well its functions of caring for the lives, representing and protecting the legal and legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; innovating and improving the effectiveness of gathering and mobilizing union members, and being a reliable support for workers.

The Congress has identified 8 targets, 2 breakthroughs, 6 key tasks in the new term. Notably, the Ward Union will promptly support union members in difficulty; affirm the difference in rights and interests of union members, create a strong connection between workers and the union organization; replicate models of effectively caring for the practical interests of union members...

Speaking at the congress, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Duong Noi Ward Nguyen Sy Hoat emphasized that the Trade Union is not only a "representative and protector of rights" but also a reliable companion of workers, a bridge connecting the Party, the government with workers, civil servants and laborers, contributing significantly to the goal of building Duong Noi Ward to develop sustainably, civilized and modern.

Comrade Nguyen Sy Hoat suggested that the Ward Union Executive Committee should soon complete its structure, clearly assign people and tasks, issue working regulations and work programs, and establish a coordination mechanism with the government and socio- political organizations of the ward...

The ward trade union needs to proactively advise and coordinate with the government and enterprises in building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises and units; participate in monitoring the implementation of regimes and policies on wages, social insurance, health insurance, labor safety and housing for workers.

The ward union must truly be a "shield" to protect the rights and "a reliable representative" of union members, so that every worker can clearly see the benefits and be proud of being in the union organization.
