A representative of TNA Entertainment LLC told Tuoi Tre Online that the company has contacted the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Performing Arts and Cinema regarding the case of failure to properly fulfill contractual obligations.

TNA Entertainment Company said that it had sent a letter requesting an extension of payment, but it may have been lost so the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Performing Arts and Cinema did not receive it, leading to the lawsuit.

In the official dispatch sent to the Center, TNA Entertainment explained the delay in payment due to difficulties in collecting debt equivalent to 24 billion VND from the diamond sponsor (for the Miss Earth 2023 contest), leading to a shortage of revenue.

"We would like to extend the payment schedule: 30% payment on May 15, 30% payment on June 15, and the remaining 40% payment on June 30, 2024.

We will pay the contract value and the corresponding late payment penalty. In case our company fails to do so by the deadline, we will take legal responsibility" - the representative of TNA Entertainment Company Limited added.

Previously, on May 3, actress Truong Ngoc Anh posted on her personal page asking a diamond sponsor to pay 24 billion VND after many promises but no payment.

Many opinions say that it is possible that because TNA Entertainment has not received the sponsorship, it is having difficulty paying other expenses.

A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Performing Arts and Cinema confirmed to Tuoi Tre Online that TNA Entertainment Company had contacted them for work.

If TNA Entertainment Company has goodwill to resolve the case, the unit will notify Thu Duc City People's Court to withdraw the lawsuit.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Performing Arts and Cinema filed a lawsuit against TNA Entertainment Company Limited, represented by actress Truong Ngoc Anh, at the People's Court of Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.

The lawsuit requests payment of a contract related to the organization of the Miss Earth 2023 contest .

According to the lawsuit, on December 1, 2023, TNA Entertainment Company signed a contract with the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Performing Arts and Cinema to organize the Ceremony Welcome - Hello Miss Earth 2023 event at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater, managed by the center.

On December 15, 2023, the two parties signed the contract liquidation minutes. The Center sent three documents requesting payment of 324.3 million VND.

On April 20, 2024, TNA Entertainment Company sent a document requesting an extension of payment for this contract, divided into 6 installments (starting from April 2024). Due to the failure to fulfill the payment obligation, the center decided to file a lawsuit.

The amount to be paid is more than 360.9 million VND including principal, late interest, and fines for breach of contract.
