Attending the meeting, on behalf of Power Generation Corporation 1, were Mr. Pham Viet Hung - Member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Manh Huan - Deputy General Director; Mr. Tran Doan Thanh - Chairman of the Trade Union; and representatives from the leadership of various departments of Power Generation Corporation 1.
After a productive and efficient working session, conducted with a high sense of responsibility, the 2024 Workers' Conference of Ban Ve Hydropower Company concluded successfully. Based on the reports of the Presidium, and with a sense of responsibility to the collective workforce, the conference promoted democratic discussions and contributed many ideas to the draft reports presented at the conference.

In 2023, the hydrological and meteorological conditions in the Ban Ve reservoir basin were unfavorable, resulting in low water inflow into the reservoir during the early months of the year. In the first six months of 2023, water inflow was lower than the multi-year average and also lower than the inflow during the same period in 2022. By the end of June, the reservoir water level was close to the dead water level, causing the power plant to operate at a reduced capacity. In the later months of the year, water inflow improved, but the plant's operation was restricted, impacting electricity production.
Over the past year, Ban Ve Hydropower Company has consistently partnered with the local community to carry out social welfare activities and contribute to the community. In 2023 alone, the company spent over 3 billion VND on activities such as: providing housing for the poor, building schools, supporting education , organizing visits and gift-giving to families of policy beneficiaries on July 27th, releasing fish fry to replenish aquatic resources, improving livelihoods for people living around the Ban Ve hydropower reservoir, organizing the "Tet for the Poor" program, and organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival for poor children in the mountainous areas of Tuong Duong and Thanh Chuong districts…
The leaders of Power Generation Corporation 1 have given many important directives and specific solutions to guide the strategic development of the entire company in the coming period.
The conference elected the People's Inspection Committee; approved the list of teams for dialogue with employers; and adopted the Conference Resolution.
Based on the achievements in 2023, the key tasks for 2024 are for Ban Ve Hydropower Company to strive to complete the 2024 electricity production plan. This includes ensuring water supply to downstream areas during the dry season and regulating and mitigating floods during the rainy season; implementing flood and storm prevention measures and reservoir regulation in accordance with the Ban Ve hydropower reservoir operation procedure and the inter-reservoir operation procedure on the Ca River basin…
Ensure stable and safe operation of generating units, preventing incidents and safety hazards caused by subjective factors. Achieve assigned technical targets regarding maintenance shutdown rates, availability factor, and zero incidents, with a zero shutdown rate during the flood season. Participate effectively in the electricity market. Ensure full and proper compliance with electrical safety procedures and other relevant regulations. Implement the annual major repair plan on schedule and to a high standard. Continue to promote self-managed maintenance to improve the availability factor of generating units, especially during the flood season.
With the achievements in production and business, in 2023, Ban Ve Hydropower Company had 6 collectives and 57 individuals awarded commendations. The unit as a whole was assessed by the Emulation and Commendation Council of Power Generation Corporation 1 as having excellently completed its tasks and was awarded a Certificate of Merit by Vietnam Electricity Group.
