Da Nang: Over 10.570 billion VND allocated for compensation and resettlement for the North-South high-speed railway project.

On December 11th, information from the Office of the People's Committee of Da Nang City indicated that Vice Chairman Phan Thai Binh signed Decision No. 2896/QD-UBND approving Component Project 2: Compensation, Support and Resettlement of the High-Speed ​​Railway Project on the North-South axis, from the Thu Bon River southward to the end of the Da Nang city boundary, with a total investment of over 10,571 billion VND. Funding sources include the central government budget, the city budget, and other legal sources.

The project, managed by the Quang Nam Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation Works, will be implemented from 2025 to 2028 and will comprise 21 sub-projects in the following communes and wards: Go Noi, Duy Xuyen, Xuan Phu, Que Son Trung, Thang Binh, Thang Phu, Thang Dien, Tay Ho, Chien Dan, Ban Thach, Huong Tra, Tam Xuan, Tam Anh, Nui Thanh, and Tam My. The project scope includes compensation, support, and land clearance; relocation of technical infrastructure; construction of resettlement areas and cemeteries; and provision of stone fill materials.

The Da Nang City People's Committee has requested the investor, the City Land Fund Development Center, and the People's Committees of the wards and communes where the project passes through to continue reviewing and specifically identifying the number of affected households, resettlement needs, and reburial requirements to create a database for adjusting, supplementing, and determining the scale of resettlement areas and cemeteries to ensure investment efficiency.
