At the closing session, the Congress approved the basic contents of the assessment of the implementation results of the Resolution of the Congress of Delegates of Can Tho City Party Committee, Soc Trang Province, and the former Hau Giang Province, term 2020 - 2025 and the viewpoints, goals, tasks, and solutions stated in the Political Report submitted to the 1st Congress of Delegates of Can Tho City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
Regarding the assessment of the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congresses of 3 localities for the 2020-2025 term, the Congress affirmed: During the past term, in the context of many intertwined opportunities, advantages, difficulties and challenges, in which the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic seriously affected all aspects of socio -economic life, the localities achieved important and quite comprehensive results in all fields, basically achieving and exceeding the targets set out in the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2025 term.
The Congress agreed on the viewpoint of developing tasks and solutions for the 5 years (2025 - 2030) is to take breakthrough development for stability, take stability as a premise for development, promote the innovation process; develop rapidly, sustainably, balance overall and comprehensively in all three areas: Economy, culture - society and environment; take people as the center, subject, goal, driving force of development associated with training, improve the quality of human resources. By 2030, Can Tho City strives to become a growth pole of the country.
The Congress unanimously agreed on the common goal of striving to become a national growth pole by 2030, playing a driving role in development, spreading and leading the entire region. By 2045, it aims to be an ecological, civilized, and modern city, striving to be among the moderately developed cities in Asia, and becoming a livable city in Vietnam.
Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) calculated at current prices by 2030 will reach at least 717,000 billion VND. Average GRDP per capita by 2030 strives to reach about 215 million VND/person/year; average GRDP growth rate in the period 2025 - 2030 will reach 10 - 10.5%/year or more; export and service turnover in the period 2025 - 2030 strives to increase by an average of 11%/year...
Total annual budget revenue increases by about 15%; strives to reach an estimated VND 57,000 billion by 2030; improves the following indicators: administrative reform (PAR INDEX); satisfaction of people and organizations with the services of state administrative agencies (SIPAS), provincial governance and public administration efficiency (PAPI), provincial competitiveness (PCI); strives to achieve rankings in the "Group of 15 localities with good governance quality".
By 2030, Can Tho City strives to have 19 doctors per 10,000 people; the number of hospital beds by the end of 2030 will reach over 44 beds per 10,000 people. The rate of schools at all levels meeting national standards by 2030 strives to reach 85%. The multidimensional poverty rate by 2030 is 2.42%, maintaining a reduction of 1% in the multidimensional poverty rate.
Announcement of the decision to appoint the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee
At the closing session of the 1st Congress of Can Tho City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Tran Van Huyen announced the Politburo's decisions on appointing the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the term 2025-2030 and appointing the Delegation to attend the 14th Congress of the Party.
Accordingly, the Inspection Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee consists of 14 members. Of which, the Head of the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee is Ms. Pham Thi Phuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee. The Vice Heads of the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee include Mr. Chiem Quoc Te, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong and Mr. Huynh Vuong Quan.
Decision to appoint delegates of Can Tho City to attend the 14th National Party Congress with 46 official delegates and one alternate delegate.
In his closing speech at the Congress, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term Do Thanh Binh called on all cadres, party members, soldiers of the armed forces, the business community, all classes of the city's people and Can Tho's children in all parts of the country and abroad to continue the heroic tradition, promote the good qualities of the homeland, uphold the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, self-reliance, enthusiastically compete in labor, scientific research, study and creativity, constantly strive, strive, devote all their efforts and intelligence to successfully implement the Resolution of the 1st Can Tho City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
