For the processing and manufacturing industry: Cassava starch factories are operating stably, with an estimated output of 53,000 tons of cassava starch in the first 3 months of the year, up 15% over the same period in 2024. Sugar factories have an estimated output of 39,000 tons, up 23.1% over the same period in 2024. Currently in the middle of the sugarcane harvest season, production output is good, and factories are operating at nearly full design capacity. The production situation of Saigon - Dak Lak Brewery is estimated to reach about 18.179 million liters, an increase of 10.2% over the same period in 2024. The production situation of powdered coffee and instant coffee factories in the province is stable, estimated at 10,670 tons, a slight increase compared to the same period in 2024. The production situation of the Steel Factory is estimated at 86,000 tons of steel, an increase of 32.3% over the same period in 2024.
For the electricity production and distribution sector: Commercial electricity output in the first 3 months of the year is estimated at 623 million kWh, down 2.7% over the same period in 2024. Electricity production in the first 3 months of the year is estimated at 1,577.9 million kWh, up 16% over the same period in 2024.
Regarding investment in technical infrastructure and attracting investment projects in industrial parks: By March 2025, the province has 08 industrial parks (IPs) in operation and 02 IPs with establishment decisions, preparing documents for approval of investment policies and investors according to regulations, with a total industrial land area of 299 hectares; the industrial land area leased to enterprises is 278 hectares, with an occupancy rate of about 92% (including leased land area and land area of projects with investment policies). In the IPs that have come into operation, there are 179 investment projects and investment registration policies with a total initial registered investment capital of about 7,000 billion VND, attracting about 6,500 workers.
Regarding the investment in technical infrastructure of industrial clusters (construction of centralized wastewater treatment systems): Tan An 1 and 2 Industrial Clusters have achieved over 95% of the total volume, currently continuing to implement the cultivation of microorganisms, activated sludge treatment and connection of wastewater sources from factories to serve the trial operation; Ea Dar Industrial Cluster has completed construction and continues to carry out the connection work with factories currently operating in the cluster. For Ea Le Industrial Cluster, the site clearance work is currently being carried out to serve the investment in the construction of internal traffic roads.
The Provincial People's Committee has issued Decision No. 273/QD-UBND dated February 14, 2025 on the establishment of Buon Cham Industrial Cluster and is continuing to advise the Council on the evaluation and selection of investors to build technical infrastructure for industrial clusters in the province for Tan Tien Industrial Cluster, Krong Pac district.
In the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to implement solutions to promote industrial production activities in the province; strengthen the review and removal of difficulties and obstacles in the management and operation of industrial clusters; create favorable conditions to attract investment, establish new industrial clusters to ensure the demand for land to attract investment projects to develop the industry; Continue to implement key tasks in Work Program No. 87/CTr-SCT dated January 14, 2025 and Action Program No. 358/CTr-SCT dated February 27, 2025 on implementing the economic growth target of 8% or more in 2025 in the field of Industry and Trade; Implement the review, coordinate the adjustment and supplementation of the Plan to implement the Dak Lak Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
