Many noteworthy results
Recognizing the crucial role of high-quality human resources, Son Duong district has incorporated vocational training linked to job creation into its key action program. Adhering closely to the Resolution of the 21st District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, the district leadership affirms its determination: “To uphold the revolutionary traditions of our homeland, build a clean and strong Party and political system; effectively exploit and utilize resources; and build Son Duong district into a rapidly and sustainably developing area.”
With this spirit, vocational training is being promoted, not only to improve the skills of workers but also to enable them to confidently participate in the labor market and rise out of poverty sustainably.
Vocational training in Son Duong over the past years has achieved many positive results. Many workers, after participating in training programs, have found stable jobs in businesses inside and outside the province.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Tan, a resident of Khang Nhat commune, is a prime example. After participating in a local job fair, he was hired by Phuc Sinh Leather Shoes Co., Ltd. in the Phuc Ung Industrial Cluster. This job provides him with a stable income of over 6 million VND per month, helping to improve his family's quality of life. He shared: “The Phuc Ung Industrial Cluster opens up job opportunities for many rural workers like me. If everyone of working age has a job and a stable income, escaping poverty is inevitable.”
Similarly, in the commune, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ba, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, stated: "The commune has a total of 6,736 laborers, of which 4,760 have received training, and 1,481 have certificates or diplomas. The average income of laborers reaches 8-10 million VND/person/month. This is an important force contributing to the socio -economic development of the locality."
These figures clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of vocational training linked to job placement in Son Duong, contributing to improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.
Challenges and limitations
Despite achieving many positive results, vocational training in Son Duong still faces numerous challenges. A report from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Tuyen Quang province indicates that local vocational education centers have not yet utilized funding from the national sustainable poverty reduction program to upgrade facilities and purchase equipment. This limits the provision of specialized vocational training and highly skilled labor.
Furthermore, coordination among agencies and units in implementing vocational training is not yet truly synchronized. This affects the effectiveness of training programs, making it difficult for workers to access suitable job opportunities.
To address these limitations, Son Duong district has implemented several key solutions to innovate vocational training, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas. Local Party committees and authorities, especially leaders, are tasked with regularly inspecting and supervising vocational training. The quality and effectiveness of training are prioritized, with the participation of the entire political system.
The district is coordinating with provincial agencies to leverage resources from national target programs. Upgrading facilities and investing in modern equipment will create better conditions for teaching and practical training for students. The focus is on building strong links between vocational training centers and businesses. Training programs will be designed based on the actual needs of businesses, enabling workers to start working immediately after training without further training.
Promoting awareness among the public about the importance of vocational training continues to be intensified, helping people better understand the value of learning a trade. At the same time, programs supporting tuition fees and providing certificates will create more favorable conditions for workers to participate in training.
Son Duong district aims to have 100% of its communes meet the standards of the new rural development program by 2025. To achieve this, vocational training will not only improve the quality of human resources but also create momentum for comprehensive socio-economic development.
With the continuous efforts of leaders at all levels and the unity of the people, Son Duong is gradually affirming its correct direction. Vocational training is not only a solution to the current labor problem but also a foundation for building a rapidly and sustainably developing Son Duong in the future.
Vocational training linked to job creation in Son Duong is a clear example of the effectiveness of investing in human resources. With specific solutions and strong determination, the district has not only helped people escape poverty but also built a civilized and comprehensively developed society.
