Binh Dien Fertilizer: Strengthening Vietnam-Laos cooperation through agriculture.
The collaboration between Binh Dien and Phongsavanh Group began in 2023. PHAIBOUN TRAIDING IM&EX Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Phongsavanh Group, and Binh Dien – Quang Tri Joint Stock Company officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding for business cooperation. This is not only a strategic step in promoting the export of NPK fertilizers under the "Dau Trau" brand to the Lao market, but also marks the beginning of the transfer of scientific and technological advancements in agricultural cultivation between the two countries.
Following the signing of the agreement, Binh Dien – Quang Tri Company deployed its Dau Trau fertilizer products to key agricultural areas in Laos, including Chapasat, Paksong, and Savanakhet provinces. Demonstration sites were organized there, showcasing the use of Dau Trau fertilizer on coffee and rice – Laos' main crops – to demonstrate the effectiveness of the products and the advanced farming practices developed by Binh Dien.

According to Mr. Ngo Van Dong, General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, the cooperative relationship with Phongsavanh Group is not merely a business opportunity, but also a mission and responsibility for Binh Dien. He affirmed: “We not only want to bring high-quality fertilizer products, but also wish to share the knowledge and farming experience accumulated throughout our operations in Vietnam. This is especially important for poor farmers, helping them access advanced farming solutions and gradually improve agricultural productivity.”
