Speeding up the construction progress of Buon Ho General Hospital Project

Buon Ho General Hospital Project has a total area of 100,000 ^m2 ; total investment of over 500 billion VND. The hospital has a scale of 500 inpatient beds, divided into 7 functional areas with construction items of 4-5 floors serving examination, treatment, engineering and other specialized medical items.

According to Board B, when completed and put into operation, Buon Ho General Hospital will be equipped with a synchronous and modern medical equipment system, contributing to improving the quality of medical services, meeting the needs of medical examination, treatment and health care for people in Buon Ho ward and neighboring areas; reducing the burden on upper-level hospitals. The project also contributes to effectively implementing the Party's guidelines and the State's policies on protecting, caring for and improving people's health; meeting the needs of urban space development as well as local socio -economic development in the new period.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai requested the investor and contractors to speed up the construction progress of the Buon Ho General Hospital Project.

The project started construction in January 2025; to date, the reinforced concrete part has been basically completed and the main building is being completed, reaching about 65% of the progress. In addition, auxiliary works and technical infrastructure are also being deployed synchronously. The total disbursement value up to October 10 is over 283.8 billion VND, reaching 57.9% of the total allocated capital. According to the plan, the project will be completed and put into use in February 2026.

However, the implementation of the Buon Ho General Hospital Project has encountered some difficulties due to the scarcity of construction materials; arising compensation and site clearance costs... affecting the progress and total investment of the project. In addition, the Project needs to supplement a central medical gas supply system to replace the plan to use mobile oxygen tanks, in accordance with the technical requirements of a 500-bed hospital. Therefore, in September 2025, the Provincial People's Committee decided to adjust the investment policy, increasing the total investment of the project to 561.2 billion VND.

Currently, the biggest difficulty of the project is that the traffic infrastructure connecting to Buon Ho General Hospital has not been invested synchronously. Specifically, this hospital currently has 2 connecting routes but neither has been invested. Of which, the main route connecting to the National Highway 14 West Traffic Road Project (section from National Highway 14 to A Jun stream), Buon Ho town (old) - phase 1 is facing difficulties in compensation and site clearance. Another route is Nguyen Trai Street, currently a small trail, with no investment or upgrading plan. Therefore, if the Buon Ho General Hospital Project is completed, its operation will be very difficult due to the lack of traffic infrastructure.

Contractors and construction units are determined to speed up progress and complete construction items before December 31, 2025.

Mr. Vo Van Loi, Deputy Director of Board B, said that according to the plan, phase 1 of the project will be completed in February 2026. However, Board B requested contractors to speed up construction; determined to complete the project before December 31, 2025. At the same time, Board B also proposed that the Provincial People's Committee quickly remove difficulties and invest in two connecting roads to Buon Ho General Hospital to ensure the hospital's operations.

At a recent working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai requested the investor and contractors to concentrate maximum human resources and equipment to organize construction in 3 shifts and 4 shifts; determined to disburse all the central capital allocated for the Buon Ho General Hospital Project by the end of the year.

Relevant units synchronously deploy essential infrastructure items to ensure hospital operations; especially traffic infrastructure, water supply, service area, parking lot, wastewater treatment area...

For medical examination and treatment equipment packages, it is necessary to research and invest appropriately; prioritize important and necessary equipment first; ensure that the equipment operates synchronously and effectively, well meeting the medical examination and treatment needs of the people.
