The health-related fields, including nursing, preventive medicine, midwifery, medical laboratory technology, medical imaging technology, rehabilitation technology, and dental prosthetics technology, are worth 17 points.
Based on that announcement, universities in the South apply the minimum admission scores as stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training, with a clear stratification between different majors.
The Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy maintained the highest scores with 22 points for Medicine and Dentistry, 19 points for Pharmacy, and 17 points for the remaining majors.
Nguyen Tat Thanh University is a private university with the highest minimum admission scores: 22 points for Medicine, and 21 points for Pharmacy and Traditional Medicine.
Universities such as Nam Can Tho University, Vo Truong Toan University, Hong Bang International University, and Van Lang University apply a minimum admission score equal to the 2025 university entrance exam score threshold for health-related majors that grant professional practice certificates.
Majors not included in the above list have lower minimum admission scores, ranging from 15-17 points.

According to education experts, the minimum score is only the threshold for eligibility to submit an application for admission, not the cutoff score for successful admission. Candidates should think carefully when registering their application preferences and can adjust their preferences by 5 PM on July 28th.
