According to the National Children's Hospital, the girl is GTS's child who was most recently admitted to the hospital on May 13 in a state of fatigue, difficulty breathing, muscle weakness, and difficulty walking. The child has been actively treated with the most advanced medical and surgical methods.
Currently, the child is breathing on his own and continues to receive medical care and treatment with oral and injectable medications.
Up to now, all treatment costs for GTS patients, including surgery and advanced techniques, have been covered by the Health Insurance Fund, the National Children's Hospital, and benefactors.
Previously, social media account XT posted an article with the content of encountering 2 people carrying sacks walking in the hot sun. After asking, it was found out that the 2 people were an aunt and nephew who had just taken their young child to the National Children's Hospital for treatment.
On the way back to their hometown, the two of them took a motorbike taxi via an app to My Dinh bus station and then planned to take a bus back to Lao Cai . However, when they arrived at My Dinh bus station, a motorbike taxi driver approached them and asked where they were going. After knowing that the aunt and nephew wanted to take a bus back to Lao Cai, the motorbike taxi driver immediately said that the bus had just left the station and offered to take them after him.
After a short distance, the motorbike taxi driver demanded 700,000 VND. Then the two were put in a taxi, and the taxi driver continued to demand 4.2 million VND for the fare. Because they did not have enough money, they had to call their hometown to ask their relatives to transfer 4 million VND, and gave the remaining 200,000 VND in cash to the driver.
Regarding this incident, on the afternoon of June 16, My Dinh 2 Ward Police (Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi ) detained a taxi driver and two motorbike taxi drivers and reconstructed the scene for investigation.
