On New Year's Eve, Truong Sa island was bustling with cultural exchange programs between officers, soldiers and people, affirming the solidarity and determination to protect the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands at the forefront.

The "Truong Sa babies" held hands and sang the song "My hometown is in Truong Sa" and eagerly received red envelopes.

The warmth of the mainland is wrapped in rolls of dong leaves and kumquat pots, helping the officers, soldiers and people of Truong Sa archipelago have a full traditional Tet, helping to ease the soldiers' homesickness.

While celebrating the New Year without forgetting their duties, the officers and soldiers on New Year's Eve shift will also receive lucky money right at the guard post. Keeping a steady hand on their guns and being ready to do their duty is the sacred responsibility of the soldiers on Truong Sa island.
