On the morning of July 23, Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, inspected and directed the work of overcoming the impact of typhoon No. 2 in Cam Pha City.

Comrade Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, inspected the area of ​​Nga 3 Hamlet, Cau Go Hamlet, and Tram Dien Hamlet in Khe Sim Village, Duong Huy Commune, Cam Pha City. Currently, 116 households live in the Nga 3 Hamlet, Cau Go Hamlet, and Tram Dien Hamlet surrounding the Quang Hanh Coal Company's regulating reservoir (TKV), which is frequently flooded during rainfall, affecting their lives. Given the complex developments of Typhoon No. 2, the city has directed relevant forces to regularly inspect, be on standby, and be ready to evacuate residents to safe areas. Quang Hanh Coal Company is on standby and has mobilized equipment, machinery, and personnel to dredge and collect waste, ensuring proper drainage from the regulating reservoir. Currently, the city is developing a plan to relocate residents from Khe Sim Village.

During the inspection, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested Cam Pha City and Quang Hanh Coal Company to continue deploying equipment, machinery, and personnel to clear drainage ditches and waterways… ensuring proper drainage and stabilizing the lives of the people. At the same time, they should accelerate the relocation of these households from the flooded area, and develop a resettlement plan to move them to better locations than their old homes, based on the consensus, agreement, and strong support of the people.

Comrade Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, directed efforts to address flooding on National Highway 18.

Inspecting several flooded areas, drainage ditches, and fallen trees along National Highway 18 in the city, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the city to urgently direct relevant units to clear waterways, remove fallen trees, and improve the urban green space system to minimize damage during storms and ensure the safety of people and property.
