Accordingly, the entire Ea Kar district has 3 communes within the project area (Ea Sar, Ea Sô, and Xuân Phú), with 330 households receiving support in the form of fertilizers (worth 5 million VND/household), including 245 poor households and 85 near-poor households. Along with distributing agricultural supplies to the people, the Project Management Board also organized technical training using the Field School (FFS) method for farmers in the communes.
The project “Strengthening the resilience of small-scale agriculture to water security due to climate change in the Central Highlands and South Central regions” (abbreviated as SACCR Project), funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), will be implemented in the province from 2022 to 2026.

The project has a total investment of over 118 billion VND, of which 102.6 billion VND is non-refundable funding from UNDP and 15.9 billion VND is counterpart funding from the provincial budget. The SACCR project aims to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable smallholder farmers to water insecurity caused by climate change in the province. This will contribute to improving their capacity to apply technology to climate-adaptive agricultural production, as per the project's objectives.
According to the plan, from July 31st to August 9th, 2023, the SACCR Project Management Board will distribute agricultural supplies to support beneficiary households in 11 communes across 4 districts in the province (Ea Kar, Ea H'leo, Krông Pắc, Cư M'gar), with 588 households receiving support.

Speaking at the support event, Mr. Pham Ngoc Nam, Deputy Director of the SACCR Project Management Board, said that the beneficiaries of the project are poor and near-poor households, ethnic minority households, households where women are the main breadwinners, and households with less than 1 hectare of cultivated land.
According to UNDP, this is considered a vulnerable and disadvantaged group in society. Therefore, local authorities from the district to the commune level in the project area pay close attention and coordinate closely with the Project Management Board in reviewing the list of eligible households to ensure that the right beneficiaries are reached. This is a significant source of support for disadvantaged households in the project area.
