The area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will experience hot and intensely hot weather with maximum temperatures commonly ranging from 35-38 degrees Celsius, and exceeding 38 degrees Celsius in some places; the lowest relative humidity will commonly be 50-55%. The heatwave in the Central region is likely to last until Sunday (July 14th).
Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam: Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and night, with localized heavy rain; showers and thunderstorms in some areas during the day. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
The prevailing weather in Hanoi will be cloudy, with hot sunshine at midday and early afternoon. Temperatures will range from 28-36 degrees Celsius. However, due to the urban heat island effect, temperatures in the central area may be 2-4 degrees higher than the forecast. The heatwave is expected to continue until the end of the week.
