"With the theme 'Hanoi - Come to Love - Hanoi's Delicacies,' participating businesses and artisans showcased many characteristic Hanoi culinary products, such as: Me Tri sticky rice flakes, Thanh Tri rice rolls, Pho bread, Huong Mai rolled pho, Duong Lam peanut candy, sweet soup, Hanoi draft beer, spring rolls, lotus jam, and savory cakes..."

According to Ms. Vu Thi Phuc, owner of the Moc Lam Rice Flake establishment, her unit is bringing 10 products made from rice flakes to the festival: fresh rice flakes, sticky rice with rice flakes, rice flake patties, rice flake cakes, stir-fried rice flakes, etc. “When talking about Hanoi's autumn gifts, one cannot fail to mention Hanoi's rice flakes. To promote the products and serve tourists, the unit spent many days preparing the products, ensuring quality and safety for visitors,” Ms. Phuc stated.

Similarly, Vice President of the Royal Chefs Association of Vietnam, Van Tran, expressed that the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024 is a practical activity for culinary artisans to promote the essence of Vietnamese cuisine. It is also an opportunity for food establishments to introduce Hanoi's signature dishes such as vermicelli and pho to locals and tourists.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Thanh, residing at alley 85 Nguyen Luong Bang (Dong Da district), who participated in the event on the weekend, said that the handicrafts on display at the Gift Festival were diverse in design, with prices ranging from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dong, suitable for various budgets. Through the event, Hanoi residents and tourists had the opportunity to learn more about many famous craft villages in Hanoi, such as Chang Son fan village, Thach Xa bamboo dragonfly production village, and Thuy Ung horn comb village.

Locals and tourists attending the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024 will also have the opportunity to access promotional programs and discounted tours organized by Hanoi travel companies in collaboration with provinces and cities nationwide.

According to Tran Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, organizing the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival is an activity to stimulate tourism to Hanoi on the occasion of National Day on September 2nd. It also supports traditional craft villages in promoting Vietnamese branded tourism gifts to domestic and international tourists.

This will promote the development of the gift manufacturing industry, contributing to strengthening tourism and cultural connections. This will enhance the visitor experience in Hanoi and encourage the recovery of the capital's tourism industry. The festival will take place from August 23-25, 2024, in the pedestrian area of Tran Nhan Tong Street and its surroundings.
