The international children's painting competition "I Love Hanoi - City for Peace" was organized to commemorate the 57th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN, the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi, and the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being honored by UNESCO as a "City for Peace".
The international children's painting competition "I Love Hanoi - City for Peace" is open to Vietnamese and international children aged 5 to 16 who live and study in Hanoi. This is an annual event organized by the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations to create a creative playground for Vietnamese and international children. Participants in the competition draw pictures expressing their love for Hanoi - the City for Peace, the Creative City, and depicting the people, life, and beautiful nature of Hanoi.
On the evening of August 29th, at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel historical site, the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations held an awards ceremony for the competition.
At the awards ceremony, Tran Thi Phuong, Standing Vice President of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, expressed her delight that after one month of launching, the competition had received nearly 300 entries.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Phuong, the submitted paintings are highly aesthetic, expressing love for Hanoi and love for peace from the pure and innocent perspective of children. Many children boldly used striking colors and modern painting styles, creating unique works of art that made a strong impression on the judges.
