Thu Thao, born in 1998, is a sales employee at a company in Ho Chi Minh City. She is petite, has bright eyes and always has a smile on her lips. At the gym, this girl is special when her whole family comes to watch the "fitness test" at Hustle Champion 25.
Positive energy
More than 110 members and guests attended the indoor physical competition on the morning of December 7 at Binh Thanh Gymnasium. Everyone checked in early at 6am and prepared themselves for the energy for 6 tests inspired by the Hyrox platform.
Accordingly, Thu Thao and her friends, after 12 weeks of health and fitness training at the center, will enter a periodic test to challenge themselves. They need to complete some cardio movements such as jumping, push-ups, carrying sacks, push-ups, and jogging according to a separate program.
The competition has two categories: Open for students and Pro for coaches with different standards in the volume of the test. Thu Thao said she has only been practicing for two years and loves these exercises. When the competition was held, everyone was ready to participate.
"My health is better every day, and my spirit also feels positive when I have an environment to practice, exchange and connect with Vietnamese and foreign friends," Thao said. She is happier when she has four members cheering her on, including her boyfriend who follows her closely.
Thu Thao shared: "I invited my parents from District 12 (old) to come and see how their daughter has been changing positively every day. I feel like I'm also bringing positive energy to my family."
Thu Thao's father kept clapping his hands, while her mother used her phone to film all of her daughter's exams. Thien Thao, the younger sister born in 2001, accompanied the family, very proud of her eldest sister.

My own joy
The competition will only have one title for each Open and Pro category. The organizers say that achievement is not the top priority: "We want to create a game day - a day of competition - for the community to maintain positive energy, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and celebrate individual results."
Ms. Hoang Nhu Quynh, owner of a fashion brand, has been practicing fitness for more than 6 years and following the current model for 2 years. Answering the question of how to maintain discipline in training and training goals, Ms. Quynh said: "I think that instead of setting a goal of losing how many kg, I change it to how many sessions I will go to the gym this week. At that time, I feel happier than pressured."
Nhu Quynh admitted that she cried many times during practice, but in return, she felt joy when she overcame herself. During the competition day, the girl born in 1996 had to stop many times before her endurance limit in the 10kg weightlifting exercise and had to walk while kneeling for nearly 20m.
Rachel, an international teacher living in Thao Dien, is also a "self-conqueror". Despite being heavier than the average person, Rachel still completed her competition. This achievement is a milestone for the next time to be even better.
