Meeting to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of Dong Huong Commune Party Committee

On the morning of September 22, Dong Huong commune (Kim Son district) held a ceremony to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Commune Party Committee (September 22, 1948 - September 22, 2023) and the Party Badge awarding ceremony.

75 years ago, on September 22, 1948, the Sao Nam Commune Party Cell, now Dong Huong Commune Party Cell, was established. This was a historic milestone, marking an important turning point in the revolutionary movement of the Dong Huong Party Cell and people. After 75 years of construction, development and growth, from 3 party members when it was first established, the Party Cell now has 335 party members operating in 21 affiliated Party Cells.

From 1991 to present, the Party Committee has been continuously recognized by Kim Son District Party Committee as a clean and strong Party Committee; of which 13 years have been a typical clean and strong Party Committee and have excellently completed its tasks.

Under the leadership and direction of the Party Committee, Dong Huong commune has achieved many important achievements in socio -economic development, being one of the first communes in Kim Son district to be recognized as a commune meeting new rural standards in 2016. Dong Huong is also the first and only locality in the district to date to be recognized as a commune meeting new rural standards.

The economy has shifted strongly towards industry, handicrafts and services. Dong Huong is the only unit in the district with an industrial cluster with 15 enterprises in production and business. Infrastructure has been invested in construction, repair and upgrading synchronously. The fields of culture, society, health,education and social security have been given attention; security and national defense have been strengthened.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the tradition of building and growing up of the Dong Huong Commune Party Committee, affirmed their pride in the glorious revolutionary tradition of their homeland, and determined to unite and contribute their efforts and intelligence to build the commune to become increasingly developed, rich, beautiful and civilized.

At the anniversary meeting, the Dong Huong Commune Party Committee held a ceremony to award Party badges to 16 party members currently active in the Party Committee. Among them, 1 comrade was awarded the 75-year Party membership badge, 1 comrade was awarded the 70-year Party membership badge, 6 comrades were awarded the 55-year Party membership badge, 3 comrades were awarded the 50-year Party membership badge, 1 comrade was awarded the 45-year Party membership badge, 3 comrades were awarded the 40-year Party membership badge and 1 comrade was awarded the 30-year Party membership badge.
