Supervision of the use of public assets such as houses and land of Quang Tri Technical College

This morning, October 4, the Supervisory Delegation of the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Council, led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Tran Huy, worked with Quang Tri Technical College to supervise the implementation of policies and laws on management, use, and rearrangement of public assets, including houses and land, in the period of 2018-2024.

Quang Tri Technical College was established in June 2020 on the basis of merging and upgrading Quang Tri Provincial Vocational College and Quang Tri College of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Previously, Quang Tri Technical College had 3 campuses, now the campus in Quang Tri town has been handed over to the People's Committee of Quang Tri town for management. Currently, the school manages 2 buildings and land of the former Quang Tri Vocational College and Quang Tri College of Agriculture and Rural Development, with a total area of 18 hectares. In general, the school has fully complied with regulations on the use of public assets such as buildings and land at agencies, organizations and units.

However, the main campus at 179 Ly Thuong Kiet, Dong Ha City and the second campus in Gio Linh District have not yet received a decision from the competent authority to change the land use right name for Quang Tri Technical College to manage according to regulations. Decision 895/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee still recognizes Quang Tri Vocational College as a unit under the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. The actual land area is different from the previous land area managed by Quang Tri Vocational College and Quang Tri Agricultural and Rural Development College, requiring funds to re-measure and complete procedures for registering the change of land use right name for effective management and use.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Tran Huy requested Quang Tri Technical College to fully absorb the opinions expressed at the meeting to develop and complete the overall report, along with documents on the use of public assets such as houses and land through different periods to send to the monitoring delegation.

At the same time, the school needs to proactively coordinate with departments and branches to carry out procedures for transferring assets and managing land use of the unit. Have a project, forecast the training needs, manage and use public assets such as houses and land to submit to competent authorities for approval and effective implementation in the coming time.
