According to the Provincial People's Committee report, as of December 3rd, 14 out of 17 targets were estimated to have met or exceeded the Provincial People's Council resolution. The economy is recovering positively and growing compared to 2023. The estimated growth rate of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in 2024 is 7.1% (compared to a negative 8.4% in 2023). The size of the economy is estimated at 129 trillion VND, an increase of nearly 16.5 trillion VND compared to 2023. The industrial and construction sector grew by 14% compared to 2023. The service sector grew by 5.8%; tourism activities were vibrant and thriving, attracting many international visitors.

Estimated state budget revenue reached 26 trillion VND, achieving 110.2% of the projected target; the revenue structure has undergone a transformation. Infrastructure continues to receive investment attention; the province has shown great interest in resolving difficulties and obstacles for the business community.

According to Tran Nam Hung, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, investment attraction in 2024 was more promising than in 2023, with 29 new domestic investment projects granted licenses totaling VND 4,915 billion. Ten new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects were also granted licenses totaling USD 134.85 million.

There are 1,157 domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of over VND 226.89 trillion and 201 active FDI projects with a total registered capital of USD 6.36 billion. Among these, emphasis was placed on solutions to accelerate the transformation of the growth model, restructure the economy; improve productivity, quality, efficiency, self-reliance, adaptability, competitiveness, and achieve rapid and sustainable socio-economic development.

Quang Nam continues to promote the implementation of its three strategic breakthroughs more effectively, creating products that generate new impetus and resources for development. The province's GRDP is projected to increase by 9.5-10% in 2025; and local budget revenue is expected to reach 24,200 billion VND.

Despite the achievements, many difficulties and challenges remain, such as the economic growth rate not meeting the set target. The progress of investment projects is still slow; the disbursement rate of public investment capital is low. The development of production linked to product value chains is still limited, and poverty reduction is not yet truly sustainable…
