Yesterday, December 7th, the super cruise ship Celebrity Solstice (owned by Celebrity Cruises) docked at Ha Long International Cruise Port ( Quang Ninh province ), bringing with it 2,700 tourists from Europe and the United States.
Ha Long Bay is bustling with cruise tourism at the end of the year.
According to the schedule, the tourists will visit Ha Long Bay and spend time exploring the cuisine and unique tourist attractions of Quang Ninh, as well as visiting Hanoi and Vinh Bao District (Hai Phong). Afterwards, these 2,700 international tourists will board a ship and depart from Ha Long International Cruise Port at 7 PM on December 8th.
Representatives from the Ha Long International Cruise Port anticipate that the super cruise ship Celebrity Solstice will continue to bring large groups of tourists to Ha Long on December 12th and December 31st.
Recently, numerous international cruise ships have docked at Ha Long International Passenger Port, bringing thousands of tourists to Quang Ninh. This is a positive sign for the local tourism industry in its efforts to revive tourism after the Covid-19 pandemic.

To date, nearly 60 cruise ships have registered to dock at Ha Long International Cruise Port in 2024, carrying over 70,000 passengers. These ships, registered for 2024, belong to many large and world-renowned brands such as Mein Schiff 6 and 5, Celebrity Solstice, Noordam, MSC Splendida, Westerdam, etc.
Built on a large scale and with meticulous planning by Sun Group, Ha Long International Cruise Port is one of the largest specialized international cruise ports in the country. The facility includes both international and domestic berths, piers, access bridges, a passenger terminal, and administrative buildings for relevant authorities. The international berth is modernly designed, with a 406-meter-long pier supported by six mooring pillars; the passenger reception hall is 130 meters long and 30 meters wide, capable of accommodating ships with a tonnage of up to 225,000 GRT, serving two ships simultaneously. The modern floating berth system also ensures the safety of cruise ships when anchoring overnight.
