Recently, a video clip was circulated on Facebook showing a young man holding a knife to a woman at a clothing store.

According to the security camera footage in the store, at the time of the incident, a young man wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt was standing looking at the goods when he suddenly turned around, held a knife close to the woman and shouted: "Stop, I'm a robber."

The woman screamed in panic. But the young man holding a knife reassured her: "If you keep quiet and don't say anything, I won't bother you."

The woman was still panicking and crying loudly. The man holding the knife asked her to sit on a chair and stop crying.

This person forced the victim to hand over all the cash and money in the account to him.

Crying and doing as the "robber" asked, waiting until the subject was distracted while focusing on checking the cash drawer, the shop owner ran out into the street and shouted "robbery".

Confirming the incident, the Investigation Police Agency, Ung Hoa District Police (Hanoi) informed that they had arrested the young man who robbed a fashion shop on the evening of August 29.

Previously, on the night of August 29, Ung Hoa District Police received a report from Ms. NTT (born in 1984, residing in Thanh Am, Van Dinh town).

Ms. T's petition stated that at around 7:51 p.m. on August 29, this woman was selling clothes at a store in Van Dinh town.

At this time, there was a young man about 20 years old, about 1m75 tall, thin, wearing a sun protection shirt, driving a white Honda Wave motorbike without a license plate, stopped the vehicle, entered the store and asked to buy clothes for his girlfriend.

After choosing, the young man asked Ms. T. to enter the store's wifi password to pay by bank transfer. While Ms. T. was doing so, the customer suddenly pulled out a knife, put it to Ms. T.'s neck, and restrained her.

The incident happened later, when Ms. T. escaped outside and shouted for help, the robber ran out, jumped on a motorbike and fled towards Ha Dong district ( Hanoi ).

Authorities quickly began investigating and identified the suspect as Do Manh Hoan (born 2005, residing in My Duc district, Hanoi).

After many times of propaganda and persuasion, Do Manh Hoan surrendered himself to Ung Hoa District Police.

Police determined that because he had no money to play the game B52Play, Hoan had the idea of robbing property. Thinking and doing, Hoan went to the market to buy a knife and hid it in his waistband.

To avoid detection, Hoan took the motorbike to a repair shop in Huong Son, My Duc, and asked them to remove the license plate and front fairing, then left it at the shop. At around 7:30 p.m., he arrived at the Rose Black shop, saw that there were no customers, parked the motorbike, went inside, overpowered the shop owner, and robbed the money.

During the extended investigation, Do Manh Hoan also confessed to successfully carrying out two previous robberies in Kim Bang district, Ha Nam province and Chuong My district, Hanoi on the same day, August 29, using similar methods, taking a total of more than 1,500,000 VND.

Ung Hoa district police continue to consolidate records to handle the subject.

Clothing sellers in constant danger

Previously, clothing sellers at stores were constantly at risk of being robbed or having to deal with people who intended to rape them.

Like the incident that happened in early May, Ms. D.TH (born in 1986, in Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc) was attacked by a man with a sharp knife in her clothing store.

When he saw Ms. H. trying on clothes, Phan Van Cuong had the intention of raping the victim. He used a 32cm long knife to threaten Ms. H., forcing her to have sex.

Fearing that her life would be affected, Ms. H. cleverly pretended to agree but tried to find reasons to delay, requesting the use of condoms.

This woman took advantage of the moment when Cuong was off guard, grabbed the sharp knife and shouted for help from the people around. At that time, the subject Phan Van Cuong was forced to run outside.

Not long after, a man entered a clothing store in Cam Phu Ward (Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa) pretending to buy clothes to rob. Taking advantage of the woman introducing her items, the man pulled out a knife and restrained her. Then, the robber pressed down on the woman to snatch her jewelry.
