Hanoi reorganizes Nghiem Xuan Yem intersection

Hanoi Department of Construction has just piloted adjusting traffic organization on the motorbike lane (below the elevated Ring Road 3) at the Nghiem Xuan Yem - Nguyen Huu Tho - Hoang Liet intersection.

Accordingly, organize one-way traffic on the motorbike lane under the elevated Ring Road 3 from Nghiem Xuan Yem to Hoang Liet; Allow vehicles to turn left onto Nguyen Huu Tho Street.

In the direction from Hoang Liet to Nghiem Xuan Yem, maintain the two-way traffic organization plan for motorbikes.

Motorbikes are prohibited from going straight into the motorbike lane under the opposite Ring Road 3; Motorbikes wishing to go to Dau Bridge must turn right onto Nghiem Xuan Yem Street.

Previously, according to the Construction Newspaper reporter, the approximately 100m long route located in the middle, under Ring Road 3 (from Muong Thanh Hotel to the red light at the Nguyen Huu Tho - Nghiem Xuan Yem intersection) needs to be reorganized in terms of traffic.

This road is a two-way road, only for motorbikes, however the traffic volume from Cau Dau to Phap Van is very crowded, while in the opposite direction there are few vehicles, causing waste.

In addition, this road section has a sign prohibiting left turns, while more than 90% of vehicles moving from the direction of Muong Thanh Hotel to Phap Van turn left at the Nghiem Xuan Yem - Nguyen Huu Tho intersection to cross Nguyen Huu Tho street.

Regarding this issue, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Kien, Deputy Captain of Traffic Police Team No. 14, said: "Through the survey, we will propose to the Hanoi Department of Construction to study and reorganize one-way traffic for the above 100m section of road in the direction from Muong Thanh Hotel to Phap Van; repaint the paint lines; remove the no-left-turn sign; block the exit on Nghiem Xuan Yem Street. After proposing to the Hanoi Department of Construction to study and reorganize traffic, at first, the unit will propagate and guide people to comply. The purpose is to help people to travel back and forth on the road in the most convenient way, avoiding the current shortcomings on this road."
