
Mr. Pham Van Phuc, Deputy Head of the Lao Cai Border Gate Customs Team, said that with the spirit of providing maximum support for the import and export activities of businesses, the unit has assigned officials to be on duty to ensure customs clearance of goods during the 4-day National Day holiday on September 2nd, continuously as on normal days.

According to reports, the number of vehicles involved in import and export of goods increased compared to last year during this year's holiday period, with over 500 vehicles undergoing customs clearance procedures each day.
Thus, during the four-day holiday, 2,115 cargo vehicles were cleared through customs, including 230 export vehicles and 1,885 import vehicles.

Exports mainly consist of traditional goods, including dragon fruit, watermelon, bananas, durian, cassava, coffee, etc. Imports mainly include chemicals, fertilizers, iron and steel products, machinery for production, and mechanical equipment, etc.

The Lao Cai border customs also recorded state budget revenue from import and export activities during the four-day holiday period through Kim Thanh International Road Border Gate No. II reaching over 11 billion VND.
