Mr. Chinh said that the Center is collecting opinions and considering the use of VNeID in the competency assessment exam as well as expanding the exam subjects to grade 11 students.
In addition, the exam organizing committee also sought opinions on improving and optimizing the exam organization; improving and perfecting the exam content and how to use the exam results...
Another new point revealed by Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh is that the two testing centers of Ho Chi Minh City National University and Hanoi National University are considering recognizing each other's results, avoiding candidates having to take multiple exams.
In 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam will continue to be organized in the form of objective paper-based tests, maintaining the current exam structure, to ensure stability and comparison of results between years.
The exam is expected to be held before the high school graduation exam, taking place in two sessions on April 5, 2026 and May 24, 2026.

Evaluating the 2025 exam, the report of Ho Chi Minh City National University showed that during the organization of the exam, some local errors in the exam invigilation at some exam sites showed that there were still limitations that needed to be overcome and improved.
To prevent and stop similar incidents in future exams, Ho Chi Minh City National University said it will continue to implement many measures.
First of all, this unit reviews and perfects the regulations and procedures for organizing the exam to ensure that the exam takes place seriously, safely and effectively, while minimizing errors in all stages of organization.
In addition, the organizing committee will supplement instruction documents, create video simulations of situations and increase training for exam invigilators, especially those at exam sites.
Coordination processes between units will also be standardized, organizational discipline will be tightened, thereby improving professionalism and synchronization throughout the system.

The Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment, Ho Chi Minh City National University, closely coordinates with units participating in organizing the exam, enhancing exchanges, guidance and supervision to ensure that staff participating in the organization comply with the regulations and procedures of the exam, minimizing errors and preventing the recurrence of violations that have occurred.
Up to now, the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam is the largest capacity assessment exam in the country in terms of the number of candidates and the number of schools using the admission results.
In 2025, in both exam periods, there will be more than 152,000 candidates taking the exam, equivalent to 218,543 candidates taking the exam, and more than 110 educational institutions will use the admission results.
