A series of tourist routes and destinations in Lao Cai have their recognition decisions revoked.

At the meeting on June 19 organized by the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, the provincial Department of Tourism continued to propose revoking the decision to recognize 3 tourist destinations in Muong Khuong district (Lao Cai).

The reason is that these tourist destinations are not invested in and developed, or do not ensure the conditions as recognized, or the names are no longer suitable with the changes in the Tourism Law.

The entrance gate to Sin Chai village (Hoang Lien commune, Sa Pa town) - one of the tourist attractions whose decision to recognize them as a tourist attraction is being proposed to be revoked.

Specific locations include: Ham Rong tourist site (including Ham Rong cave, waterfall and market in the center of Muong Khuong district); Vang Leng tourist site (including Vang Leng cultural village in Tung Chung Pho commune and Nam Ooc cave in Nam Lu commune); Cao Son tourist site (including Cao Son market and Ngai Phong Cho craft village - cultural village in Cao Son commune).

Concluding the meeting on June 19, Vice Chairwoman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Giang Thi Dung agreed with the proposal of the Department of Tourism and requested to carry out the procedures to revoke the recognition decision.

With the goal of developing the tourism network, over the past years, the People's Committee of Lao Cai province has issued decisions to recognize 33 local tourist destinations.

Of these, Lao Cai city has 4 points, Muong Khuong district has 3 points, Bac Ha district has 4 points, Bao Yen district has 2 points, Bat Xat district has 6 points, Sa Pa town has 13 points... However, up to now, many tourist destinations and routes have not met the criteria set forth by the Tourism Law.

Therefore, in addition to the 3 tourist destinations in Muong Khuong district proposed to be removed from the list, Lao Cai Department of Tourism also proposed that the Provincial People's Committee issue a decision to withdraw a series of other routes and destinations in the area, such as: Lao Cai City - Ham Rong - Vang Leng - Cao Son (in Muong Khuong district) - Coc Ly (in Bac Ha district) - Lao Cai City tourist route.

At the same time, it is proposed to revoke the decision to recognize the community tourism route in Muong Khuong district, including: Lao Cai City - Ta Lam waterfall - Pha Long - Ta Gia Khau - Me village - Lao Cai city; Lao Cai City - Lung Khau Nhin - Muong Lum village - La Pan Tan - Cam village - Lao Cai city tourist route.

Lao Cai Department of Tourism proposed to revoke the decision to recognize the Community Tourism Site in Sin Chai village, Hoang Lien commune, Sa Pa town; to revoke the decision to recognize the Ma Tra village tourist site in Ham Rong ward, Sa Pa town.
