Continuing their work program, on the morning of October 18th, the Provincial People's Council's monitoring delegation, led by Mr. Le Van Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, conducted a direct survey on the compliance with legal regulations in ensuring safety of inland waterway traffic and the management, inspection, and registration of waterway transport vehicles in Cam Pha City.

Cam Pha City has a long coastline along Bai Tu Long Bay. Currently, there are 23 ports and wharves in the city. Recently, the city has focused on directing relevant agencies and the People's Committees of communes and wards to strengthen state management, inspect and review unlicensed and illegal wharves and wharves, eliminate illegal wharves and wharves involved in the transportation, stockpiling, and trading of sand, stone, and gravel; strictly handle violations related to transportation, stockpiling, trading, mooring of vessels, and other violations in wharf areas; organize propaganda and obtain commitments from inland waterway wharf owners to comply with legal regulations on inland waterway traffic safety. At the same time, it is resolutely dealing with illegal construction material stockpiling wharves that are not included in the planning and have not been licensed according to regulations.
The city has completed its master plans and detailed zoning plans, all of which update the development orientation of economic zones, inland waterway ports, and regional connecting routes, serving as a basis for contributing to the development of the seaport system according to the planning orientation; and has implemented investment in the construction, upgrading, and repair of inland waterway ports and wharves.
In addition, the city currently has 311 registered and strictly managed vessels of various types, including boats and ferries.
Since January 1, 2021, there have been no traffic accidents related to inland waterways in Cam Pha City.

Following a field survey, Mr. Le Van Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, requested the Department of Transport to study regulations on licensing certain wharves and ports in the province to ensure they are consistent with actual needs, strengthen management, and meet development requirements; review the infrastructure of each port and wharf to ensure full investment in all items; and guide investors in preparing dossiers, reports, and licensing procedures for dredging in the managed area.
The comrade highly appreciated the local efforts in strengthening management and restoring order as directed by the province at the wharves and ports in the km6 area. He requested Cam Pha City to continue reviewing the planning, land, and infrastructure for a number of wharves and ports to report to the Provincial People's Committee to ensure strict management.
