Building on a foundation of sustainable cooperation, the CEO of Heineken Vietnam affirmed his commitment to continue accompanying Da Nang in the new era, towards shared goals of prosperity.
Da Nang - a crucial strategic "base" for Heineken Vietnam.
Participating in the Friendship and Cooperation Cities Forum in Da Nang, Mr. Wietse Mutters - CEO of Heineken Vietnam - expressed his admiration for Da Nang's outstanding economic achievements. As a key economic hub in the Central region and consistently voted "Vietnam's Most Livable City," Da Nang is poised to develop into an international financial center in the future.

According to him, Da Nang not only plays a prominent role in Vietnam's economy but is also an important "base" for Heineken Vietnam. The city is where the company has its most modern brewery in Central Vietnam – the Heineken Vietnam – Da Nang brewery – and is also considered the birthplace of Larue beer, a brand of the company.

According to the company representative, embodying the warm, hospitable, and optimistic spirit characteristic of Da Nang, Larue connects with the people in everyday moments, accompanies them in many cultural and tourism events, and contributes to promoting the economic and social development of the area.
In 2024, Larue participated in a series of meaningful events such as the Da Nang Enjoyment Festival, the Larue Love Da Nang music festival, and the Larue Lumifest New Year's Eve party, which attracted thousands of attendees.
In addition, Larue continues to uphold its tradition of supporting disadvantaged local people ahead of the Lunar New Year through the program "Larue Celebrates a Joyful Tet with the Community," providing practical support in terms of material, spiritual, and health aspects to help people look forward to the new year with much hope.
Over the past year, this brand has also signed a memorandum of understanding with Da Nang city to promote and develop local tourism.

The CEO of Heineken Vietnam affirmed the company's commitment to continue accompanying Da Nang in the new era ahead of the 50th anniversary of the city's liberation (1975-2025) and towards shared prosperity goals.
Practical actions “For a better Vietnam”
Mr. Wietse Mutters stated that, with its large market size, young population structure, and growing middle class, Vietnam continues to be a promising market for Heineken.
For over 33 years of operation, Heineken Vietnam has been one of the businesses that has made significant contributions to the country's economic development. In 2023 alone, the company contributed the equivalent of 0.5% of Vietnam's GDP, placing it among the top tax-paying businesses.

Besides its economic contributions, the company always places the community and people as top priorities in its sustainable development strategy. Ahead of the recent Lunar New Year 2025, the company continued its tradition of supporting disadvantaged people during the Tet holiday by implementing the "Heineken Vietnam Celebrates a Joyful Tet with the Community" program in collaboration with the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee and local authorities. With the participation of hundreds of Heineken Vietnam employees, the program provided essential Tet supplies and meaningful activities to over 7,000 households in 28 provinces and cities nationwide, with a total support value of nearly 9 billion VND.

In 2024, Heineken Vietnam also actively and quickly implemented relief programs for people affected by Typhoon Yagi in the North and saltwater intrusion in Tien Giang province, contributing to supporting people in overcoming difficulties and stabilizing their lives after natural disasters. In addition, within the framework of the water conservation cooperation program with WWF-Vietnam, Heineken Vietnam is actively implementing many initiatives to improve water quality and access to clean water for local communities in the Red River, Dong Nai River, and Tien River basins.
