Connecting trade
These days, the City Department of Industry and Trade, in coordination with other departments, agencies, and localities, is creating favorable conditions for businesses, establishments, and cooperatives producing OCOP products, rural industrial products, handicraft products, and typical and representative products of the city such as Non Nuoc stone carvings, Hoi An lanterns, Ma Chau silk, Ngoc Linh ginseng, etc., to participate in the 2025 Autumn Fair.
The Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City organized a cluster of booths clearly showcasing the unique characteristics and strengths of Da Nang 's goods. These strong and distinctive products and goods were given a channel for trade promotion, seeking and coordinating with partners, fostering cooperation, and hopefully forming a supply chain for production, distribution, and consumption.
According to Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong, the 2025 Autumn Fair will take place from October 25th to November 4th at the Vietnam Exhibition Center ( Hanoi ) on the largest scale ever (over 3,000 booths). The Autumn Fair will attract participation from major distributors nationwide and hundreds of international buyers.
Participating in the fair is an opportunity for businesses, production facilities, and cooperatives in the city to promote and introduce their strong and distinctive products, create opportunities for networking and trade, find new partners, and boost the export of Da Nang products to reach further into the international market.

In recent times, the city's Department of Industry and Trade has coordinated with various departments, agencies, and localities to implement numerous trade promotion programs both within and outside the city. Recently, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion (under the Department of Industry and Trade) connected and brought together businesses and production facilities specializing in handicrafts, OCOP products, and rural industries to participate in the international trade fair "Hanoi Handicraft Gifts 2025"...
It is evident that many trade promotion activities in Da Nang city have brought practical benefits to businesses, production facilities, and cooperatives. First and foremost, this has resulted in increased sales and market share through promotional programs, advertising, stimulating purchases, and reaching a wider customer base.
These entities further reinforce the brand image of their goods, build stronger connections between businesses and customers, and enhance brand recognition.
Furthermore, trade promotion bridges have facilitated market diversification, expansion into new markets, and the resolution of trade barriers. This includes, in particular, negotiating and signing memoranda of understanding and contracts with businesses, production facilities, and partners, creating supply chains, accelerating trade, and expanding the consumption of goods.

Stimulating consumer demand
The "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign, widely implemented throughout the city, continues to act as a catalyst for distributors, shopping centers, and supermarkets to actively participate.
In Tam Ky ward, Vietnamese goods account for up to 95% of the total merchandise at Co.opMart Tam Ky supermarket. The supermarket has prioritized allocating prime locations for "made in Da Nang" products so that customers can easily see and purchase them.
Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Lai, Director of Co.opMart Tam Ky, said that the supermarket creates all favorable conditions for goods produced in the city to be available. "Made in Da Nang" products at the supermarket have an advantage in quality, creating shopping enthusiasm for consumers, especially with a focus on price through promotional programs to stimulate consumer demand.
In addition, Co.opMart Tam Ky regularly brings Vietnamese goods in general, and Da Nang goods in particular, to remote, mountainous, island, and border areas, helping people buy them at preferential prices. "We participate in this campaign with national pride, pride in our homeland, and a sense of responsibility, contributing to opening up the market for 'made in Da Nang' goods," Ms. Lai said.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Decision No. 2269/QD-BCT approving the program for developing the domestic market, stimulating consumer demand, and promoting the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign for the period 2025-2027.
The decision is seen as a strategic step for domestic trade, enabling Vietnamese goods to reach a wider market, contributing to macroeconomic stability, and promoting sustainable growth.
During the period of 2026-2027, the domestic market development and consumer stimulus program aims to build a modern, distinctive, and nationwide domestic trade platform; develop retail models with a strong Vietnamese identity; promote the digital transformation ecosystem; and connect international trade infrastructure. The goal is to position Vietnam among the countries with the most attractive retail markets globally.
To achieve this goal, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requires localities to focus on stimulating domestic consumption, organizing a special communication campaign "Vietnamese people use Vietnamese products," and organizing national trade promotion and consumption stimulus programs.
Stimulating domestic consumption is extremely important, not only for generating growth but also for practically promoting production and business development, and improving consumption efficiency in the city.
According to Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, the relevant authorities are focusing on developing a plan to stabilize the market for essential goods serving the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026. They are closely monitoring market developments and promptly implementing plans to supply goods and stabilize the market during holidays, Tet (Lunar New Year), and periods of heavy rain and storms.
Continue to strengthen market inspection and control, combat and prevent smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property infringement, especially to stimulate consumer demand during the "golden period" of the year-end and Tet holiday.
