Scientific workshop on Optimization in diagnosis and treatment of some common neurological diseases

On the morning of June 25, Tay Nguyen University coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Neurology Association to organize an international scientific conference on Optimization in diagnosis and treatment of some common neurological diseases.

At the Scientific Conference, delegates listened to leading experts discuss and share the following topics: Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo: Update on diagnosis and treatment; Epilepsy symptomatology through video analysis; Practical approach to diagnosis and treatment of dementia; Improving the ability to diagnose and treat stroke through real-life situations; Hypertension in stroke prevention and treatment: Update on important points in practice; The role of Botulinum toxin in the treatment of chronic Migraine.

Delegates discussed and presented real clinical cases and received answers and treatment instructions from experts; shared practical experiences of domestic and foreign experts on the diagnosis and treatment of some common neurological diseases.

Speaking at the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Duc Niem, Vice Rector of Tay Nguyen University, emphasized that neurological diseases and cerebrovascular diseases in general, Alzheimer's disease/Dementia, epilepsy, stroke and some other neurological diseases in particular are becoming more and more common. These diseases with dangerous and unpredictable complications can leave severe and complicated sequelae for patients, which will then be costly for social resources, as well as negatively affect the mental life, health, life and quality of life of patients. Alarmingly, there are some neurological diseases that were previously only found in the elderly, but now there is a trend of younger people. Based on the knowledge of the workshop, participants need to apply it in practice to optimize the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases.

The workshop was organized to update, improve knowledge and exchange expertise for local medical staff, doctors and health workers on diagnosis and treatment of some common neurological diseases. Thereby, helping to improve people's health care.
