On the morning of November 17, at Ngam village, Son Dien commune (Quan Son), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa, the Provincial Ethnic Committee coordinated with Quan Son district to organize the closing ceremony of the Traditional Sports Competition of Thanh Hoa Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas in 2024.
The organizing committee awarded prizes to units with excellent performance at the competition.
The competition had the participation of nearly 200 athletes from 11 units, including: Nhu Xuan, Nhu Thanh, Thuong Xuan, Lang Chanh, Ba Thuoc, Quan Hoa, Quan Son, Muong Lat, Ngoc Lac, Cam Thuy and Thach Thanh. The athletes competed in 4 events: stick pushing, crossbow shooting, shuttlecock throwing, and tug of war.

At the end of the competition, the organizing committee awarded 116 medals of various types to groups and individuals. Of which, 39 were gold medals, 39 were silver medals, and 38 were bronze medals.
The first prize for the whole team belongs to Quan Son district, the second prize belongs to Ngoc Lac district, and the third prize belongs to Quan Hoa district.
The pole pushing competition attracted a large audience to cheer.

The contest is an opportunity for ethnic minorities in the province to exchange, learn, share experiences, improve cultural and spiritual life; promote the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".
