In 2023, according to regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training , students currently in 12th grade registered for the high school graduation exam online through the exam management system. Independent candidates registered in person at the registration unit designated by the provincial Department of Education and Training.
Candidates can begin registering for the official exam from 7:00 AM on May 4th to 5:00 PM on May 13th.
As of 5 PM on May 13th, the total number of candidates who successfully registered for the exam was 1,025,166. Of these, 94.51% registered online; 5.49% registered in person; and 4.71% were independent candidates.
The number of candidates registering to take the exam for both high school graduation and university admission is 917,731, accounting for 89.52%. The number of candidates registering to take the exam only for high school graduation is 73,232, accounting for 7.14%. The number of candidates registering to take the exam only for university admission is 34,203, accounting for 3.34%.
During the online exam registration period, the exam management system operated stably, and the registration process was generally smooth for all candidates. The Ministry of Education and Training deployed personnel to provide continuous 24/7 support, maintaining regular contact and information exchange with all 63 provinces and cities and IT infrastructure support units to remind candidates of important points to note during the registration process.
The Ministry of Education and Training notes that from May 14th to May 19th, 2023, provincial education and training departments and schools where candidates register for the exam should review, check, and correct candidate information for accuracy (if necessary).
According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2023 high school graduation exam will take place on June 27th and 28th.
