More than 20 ministers and local leaders appeared on VTC to send 'New Year's message'

Continuing the success of previous years, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, more than 20 guests who are leaders of the Party, State, heads of ministries and localities will appear on VTC to share about the achievements in 2023, the difficulties and concerns of 2024 and send New Year greetings and New Year greetings to audiences nationwide.

The message of early spring is an important content in the special Tet program series Happy Spring - Happy Tet 2024 of VTC Digital Television Station, expected to broadcast for 90 hours, starting from 6:00 a.m. on the 30th of Tet (February 8, 2024) until the end of the 3rd day of Tet.

The program has the participation of more than 20 special guests who are leaders of the Party, State, heads of ministries and localities such as the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Minister - Chairman of the Ethnic Committee; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; President of the Vietnam Journalists Association ; Secretaries and Chairmen of the provinces of Hung Yen, Thanh Hoa, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Dien Bien, Bac Lieu, etc.

Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Trinh Xuan Truong said that the Government has approved many very important plans, especially the Lao Cai provincial plan; the general plan for the Sa Pa national tourist area.

The program was highly welcomed by leaders of local ministries and branches in sharing achievements, summarizing and reviewing the achievements of the past year, moving towards solutions, assessing, analyzing the situation and solutions to develop the local economy as well as solving issues related to ministries, branches and the country.

This year, the guests on VTC Radio have different moods, but in general, they all have deep faith that we will overcome all challenges and enter the new year with many new victories.

According to Thanh Hoa Secretary Do Trong Hung, the provincial Party Committee will resolutely fight against manifestations of bureaucracy, corruption, negativity and waste. It is determined to build a streamlined political system that operates effectively and efficiently, and to build a contingent of cadres at all levels with sufficient qualities, capacity and prestige to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new period.

As a locality with high economic growth in recent years, Nam Dinh Secretary Pham Gia Tuc identified the marine economy as the driving force for the province's development in this term and many following terms.

“We do not trade the environment for growth and development. Nam Dinh’s growth is rapid and sustainable, ensuring the improvement of people’s quality of life, making Nam Dinh a place to work, a tourist destination, and affirming that Nam Dinh is a place worth living, ” Mr. Tuc shared.

Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung (left) said that last year had the highest FDI attraction results in the past 10 years and was the second time it exceeded the threshold of over 1 billion USD/year.

Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thieu said that by publicly announcing his hotline number to receive all feedback from the people, from there considering options to resolve problems, even personally going to the area to handle work, directly meeting people to resolve hot issues, has helped people trust the government and support the government.

“Since I became Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee from the beginning of my term until now, the people's trust in me has increased. Regarding foreign affairs, according to Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, 2023 is a vibrant year in foreign affairs with many outstanding marks. Foreign relations on bilateral and multilateral levels continue to be expanded and deepened, in which relations with many important partners have been raised to new heights with new qualitative developments, notably relations with neighboring countries, China, the US, Japan and many other partners.

Foreign affairs activities, especially high-level foreign affairs, take place vigorously and widely across continents and at many important multilateral forums and mechanisms.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung is proud of the achievements the industry has made in the past year in each field, especially tourism. With 12 million international visitors to Vietnam in 2023, exceeding the target by 4 million people, this is a remarkable figure proving the success of this industry.

This year, Dien Bien province is urgently preparing for a major holiday, which is the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory. Mr. Tran Quoc Cuong, Secretary of Dien Bien, said that the Politburo and the Secretariat have agreed to hold a national celebration. In particular, the Government and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism have also assigned the province to carry out the Dien Bien Phu National Tourism Year 2024.

These are two very important tasks of Dien Bien in 2024. In 2023, the Vietnam Journalists Association had many active activities, improving the professional quality and expertise of the country's press, making great contributions to the development of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, said that 2024 is predicted to be a year of strong application of AI and virtual assistants. In particular, artificial intelligence and many other technologies are considered to be a challenge and will greatly affect the traditional way of doing journalism. The Press and Media need to overcome difficulties to turn danger into opportunity. At the same time, the Press economy will propose solutions to face the current situation so that the press can survive in its profession and continue its mission of serving readers and the people.
